2019 Photography Break at The Green Park Hotel
From Sunday the TBC February, until the morning of Thursday the TBC of February - with the option of a fifth day until the morning of Friday the TBC.
David's workshop is designed for the photographer - established or otherwise - who would like to improve his or her craft. To allow a sufficient time for both general and personal tuition, numbers for the course are restricted to a maximum of fifteen participants, and everyone is encouraged to bring with them any photography that they have carried out to date.
The following are some of the topics we shall try and cover:
Refresh of the basics of photography, understanding exposure and camera handling all with an emphasis on digital and getting the best possible image from your own camera.
Basic lighting (portraits, objects)
Camera file types when to use which sort. (jpeg, raw)
Basic digital work-flow demo and file handling
Photoshop Elements Tips & Tricks
Approaches to file storage & backup
Practical sessions and Critique Slide shows
Q & A session.
The daily programme will usually consist of Instruction and practical in the mornings and assignments/tutoring in the afternoon.
The workshop has a bias towards Landscape photography, so stout footwear and waterproof clothing are required.
If anyone who is due to take part in the workshop has particular items/subjects that they wish to cover we will do our best to address these however I know time will be short but we will do our best.
There is unfortunately no IT provision at the Green Park but I will be bringing some of my own equipment to demo on.
The emphasis on this course is on camera skills rather than computer skills. However I am more than happy if you wish to bring your own Laptop and of course your camera gear.
